Alameda is located on Alameda and Bay Farm Island. It is oddly nicknamed ‘the island’ when it actually extends over two islands and a section of the mainland. This fact is emphasized by its large population of 73 812. As pretty as a picture, most of Alamedas’ houses are built in a quaint Victorian style.
The city can be accessed via three bridges (Park Street, Fruitvale Avenue and High Street Bridges) as well as by the two, one-way Posey and Webster Street tubes.
