Anaheim is a city of California located
in Orange County, with a massive population of some 365,463 residents according
to the 2010 census. This population puts it at Orange County’s most populated
city and the tenth most populated city in California. Anaheim was founded in
1857 by 50 German families, and by 1870 the city was making electronics, canned
fruit and parts for aircrafts. Anaheim was also spotted by the Ku Klux Klan,
who at the height of its popularity in the 1920s secretly positioned four of
its members on the Board of Trustees, meaning the Board was comprised of 80%
Klan members. Of the ten policemen, nine were members of the Ku Klux Klan,
although they were publicly ousted in a vote after their identities became
widely known.
Anaheim is not just known for its
history, though: it also hosts Disneyland Resort, the Honda Center and the
Angel Stadium of Anaheim. In addition to this, it also has the Anaheim
Convention Center, which happens to be the largest one on the entire West
Coast.
