Banning, California is located in Riverside County in the Greater Los Angeles area of California. The city had a population of 29,603 as of the 2010 census. The city was named after Phinease Banning, who owned the stagecoach line and is called the “Father of the Port of Los Angeles.” Banning is located right off of the Interstate 10, Interstate-215, California-60, California-79 and California-91.
