Canoga Park is found in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles, California, and was founded in 1912 by General H. G. Otis.  It was named Owens Mouth then, but in 1931 it was renamed Canoga Park.  It was an agricultural district, producing sugar, beets, citrus, etc.  It was a relatively small community until the large aerospace firms came into the area; their arrival multiplied the population size and made it into a suburb of Los Angeles.
