Within San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles, California is the district of North Hills. At first, the district was named Sepulveda, but later, in 1992, it acquired the name North Hills.

The population of the small district of North Hills was 53,095 with a household income of over $52,000.00. Many citizens in the district enjoy living in North Hills because they are able to preserve the simple lifestyle that they find there. With the population increasing, Council President Jim Burn and his executive team has decided to redraw the boundary lines with an intention to make more room.    

Since the district has people traveling back and forth in automobiles, there are shopping facilities provided so one can buy vehicle parts. Buying a used engine at any one of those places requires that the purchaser know what model, year and make engine they need. There are a number of public high schools and private schools serving the citizens of North Hills also. For those that live more than five miles away from the school, the authorities have provided bus transportation for ease of use.  

Though the district of North Hills might be small in comparison to other larger places in California and the United States, the San Fernando valley has one of the largest libraries. The library is located in the Woodley Avenue area on Nordhoff Street where students and working people alike can visit to do research or catch up on their reading.

North Hills might have started out as a small district; however, no one can deny that it has grown in popularity as well as in numbers.
