The arrival of the Pacific Electric Railway in 1906 was a defining moment in the rise and growth of Stanton. With this new arrival, prospective real estate buyers were coaxed by agents of the Sterns Rancho Corporation into taking buyouts on the available landspace in the city, toward the goal of converting the property usage to industrial usage. After these developements, the city would later relinquish its incorporated status in 1924 to construct roads in the region by the state of California. Reincorporation was then regained in the year 1956.

Stanton's Luster 

Stanton boasts several attractions for tourists, including The White House Doll Museum, The Bowles House Museum (which retains its original red sand brick construction), and the popular shopping destination, the Westminster Mall.  For special events, Stanton offers the Summerfest Concert series which hosts activities for the children as well as offering a wide array of food. If one is interested in playing ice hockey, the Arrowhead Pond Arena is a resource for this activity and hosts popular concert acts. When in Stanton do not forget to see Adventure City, offering petting zoos, stage shows and exciting rides for the children. Stanton also has wonderful beaches, such as Huntington Beach, which offers high tides for surfers and a relaxing atmosphere for sunbathers.
